A cockerpoo is a mix between a cocker spaniel and a poodle, depending on the type of poodle the size can vary greatly. They have become immensely popular in recent years, which is no wonder as they are very cute and beautiful dogs. They are affectionate dogs that often have a cheerful disposition and lots of energy. They want to join their families on adventures and need both mental stimulation and exercise to feel good.

Grooming
They come in many different colours and coat types. A Cockerpoo can have a curly, wavy or straight coat. The curly coat often does not shed. It is often said that cockerpoos are hypoallergenic dogs, this may be the case - but not always. There is no such thing as a completely hypoallergenic dog, it depends on the individual. The coat needs to be trimmed a few times a year and can be trimmed down during the hot summer months. Brush the coat regularly to avoid tangles.

Grooming
Of course, the dog's claws need to be taken care of! Claws should be clipped as needed, but a recommendation is not to wait too long, once a month may be sufficient. It's better to clip a little and often than a lot and rarely. You with a cockerpoo need to be aware that there is a risk of them suffering from skin problems such as allergies. It is important that they are socialised and environmentally trained from the time they are small puppies to ensure they become confident individuals who fit into your life.
