Bake cookies for the dog this christmas
Gingerbread is spicy and not something our dogs feel good about tasting. Of course, it's nice to celebrate Christmas with your dog and let them share in the Christmas cheer too. That's why we're sharing two variations of dog-friendly gingerbread that you can make for your dog.
Hard gingerbread for the dog
Ingredients
7.5 dl wholemeal flour
2.5 dl oatmeal
2.5 dl wheat germ
0.5 dl cooking oil
2.5 dl grated cheese
3 dl meat broth
Make as follows
Heat the stock and mix with the oatmeal and oil. Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Then add the wheat germ and the cheese. Mix well.
Add the flour a little at a time. Work into a dough.
Roll out to a centimetre thick sheet and press out with shapes of your choice. It can be gingerbread moulds or an ordinary glass.
Then bake the dog gingerbread in the oven at 175 degrees, about 50 minutes.
Turn off the heat but leave the biscuits in overnight to get really hard.
Then store them in a dry and airy place.
